[P831] How to print with ribbon correctly

If the App is showing a "Ribbon Abnormal" error, follow these steps to resolve the issue.

1. Confirm the Error Message

Ensure the error message in the app matches the one shown in the image below.


2. Check the Ribbon Installatioin

Open the printer cover and verify that the ribbon is installed correctly. Refer to the installation guide in the image below for assistance.
  1. Press the two Open Cover Buttons at the same time to open the cover.
  2. Put the Ink Ribbon flat in the device according to the right direction shown.
  3. Close the Cover.

3. Still Receiving the same Error

If the ribbon is correctly installed but the error persists, please contact our support team. This issue usually can be resolved with a firmware update.

Steps to Provide Information for Support:

  1. Open the app and navigate to the printer's device page.
  2. Take a screenshot of the printer's SN (Serial Number) and firmware version.
  3. Send this information to our support team.

Reconnect the printer and waiting for the new firmware

Once we receive your details, we will push a firmware update to your deivce. You will need to reconnect to the app and follow the prompts to complete the upgrade.
