Please check the battery level of the printer. If it is lower than 30%, the printing performance of the printer may be affected by the power level. Please charge it in time.
You can go to the mobile app store to search and download the Phomemo APP. After connecting the printer to the Phomemo APP, you can check the printer's power level through the firmware information screenshot.
You can also turn on the printer after installing the paper, double-click the printer power button to print a QR code self-test page to check the current power level of the printer.
2.Adjust the Printer's Print Density
When the printer prints the paper content, you can try to select different print densities to print according to the current printing effect.
Open the Phomemo APP and select the print density you need on the print preview effect page.
If the printer prints too light, please try to increase print density in the app.
If the printer prints too dark, please try to select the lowest print density in the app.
3.Choose High-quality PDF Format File for Printing
To ensure the best printing quality, it is recommended that you save the document file you want to print in PDF format and import it into the Phomemo APP.
4. Check the Ribbon Installatioin
The P831 uses a ribbon to print on plain paper, so the quality of the print is also related to the installation of the ribbon. You can confirm whether the printer's ribbon is installed correctly, or try to manually replace the ribbon to see if the printing effect can be improved.
Open the printer cover and verify that the ribbon is installed correctly. Refer to the installation guide in the image below for assistance.

5. Clean the Print Head
After removing the ribbon, try to use alcohol swabs to wipe and clean the print head. Wipe the cutting parts of the printer, especially those black line areas, to make sure there is no dirt on the print head. Don't use the printer again until the print head is clean and dry.
